Stag do organiser says Bristol is tops for Stags

Stag do organiser, Eclipse Leisure has given Bristol top prize for best value for money stag and hen city of the year.

Eclipse Leisure, is one of the stag and hen industries leading organisers and has compiled the best towns in the UK for a stag or hen weekend. The results are not based just on popularity but on feedback from groups, value for money, cities that try hard to accommodate single sex groups and facilities offered.

Bristol came first because of its "Friendly bars and clubs, great hotels and a good range of activities to keep everyone occupied during the day" says Alasdair Adam, Eclipse Leisure MD. "Bristol has been voted number one by Eclipse because the city has put a lot of effort into its regeneration and is continuing to welcome single sex groups."

Newcastle came second only because many hotels have started increasing the prices, but this is put down to the fact that demand is enormous.

Says Eclipse "A wealth of night time and day time activities keeps the revellers occupied. The city centre is starting to look space age and dare we say it Newcastle is becoming cosmopolitan."

Brighton came a good third and contrary to some mis informed reports Brighton is not a big "boxing ring". Again according to Eclipse Brighton came third largely because of 'limited hotel availability'.

Says Alisdair, "The club scene is legendary and there is anything for just about anyone. There is a host of activities available and all within a reasonable distance of the city. Anything goes in Brighton, so groups in fancy dress hardly turn a head; it’s a fun unassuming city that is in dire need of a decent football stadium."
